How to apply:
Applications on the proforma as per Appendix “A” should be sent to the authoritiesprescribed below against the respective State/UTs alongwith requisite application fees ofRs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only) in the form of Postal order drawn in favour of the officermentioned under column 3 below and payable at the post office as mentioned undercolumn.4. SC/ST candidates are exempted from application fee.CLOSING DATE:
Applications should reach the above designated officers of CISF latest by 09.02.2009. For the candidates belonging to Northern Eastern States and Andaman & NicobarIslands, the application should reach the above designated officers of CISF latest by 16.02.2009.INSTRUCTIONS IN GENERAL
1. Only eligible Candidates may apply in the prescribed proforma. Candidates shouldminutely go through all the provisions in the notice to ensure that he is eligible forthe post of Constable for which he is applying in terms of requirement of Age,Educational qualifications etc.
2 Name & Father’s Name should be exactly as mentioned in the Matriculationcertificate. In case of change the same must be supported by necessary documentsotherwise the candidature will be rejected.
3. Candidate should submit his/her domicile certificate issued by concernedauthority to establish that he/she belongs to that State/District. The candidateswill be eligible for recruitment only in th States/UTs, to which they belong.
4 The application form must be filled by the candidate in his own handwriting.Correction, if any, should be legible and attested by the candidate.
5 Application may be filled up either in English or Hindi only.
6 Applications duly filled in the prescribed proforma affixed with recent passportsize photograph duly self attested may be sent alongwith the following documents:a) A crossed non-refundable Indian Postal order for Rs.50/- from General &OBC candidates on account of entrance fee drawn in favour of the officersmentioned in column 3 of the Table given at para 4 above and payable atthe post office as shown in column 4 therein. No claim for refund of theentrance fee will be entertained on the ground that the application wasrejected. Payment of entrance fee other than Postal Order will not beentertained and candidature will be rejected.b) No application fee is applicable for SC and ST candidates.c) Photostat copies of the Educational Qualification certificate(s) in proof ofage and Educational qualification etc., issued by a recognizedUniversity/Board duly attested by a Gazetted Officer be enclosed.d) Photostat copies of SC/ST & OBC certificate on proforma prescribed by theCentral Government as per appendix B & C of the Notificatione) Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas,Dogras and Marathas shall enclose certified true copy of certificates issuedby SDM/Tehsildar or equivalent authority authorized by Central Govt forgetting relaxation in height and chest as per appendix D of the Notification.f) Candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, ArunachalPradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, HimachalPradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K), shall enclose eitherdomicile certificate or certified true copy of certificates issued bySDM/Tehsildar or equivalent authority authorized by Central Govt forgetting relaxation in height and chest as per appendix D of the
Notification.g) A self-addressed envelope (8 Cms x 19 Cms size) duly affixing postal stampsfor Rs 22/-(Rupees twenty two only) thereon.h) Two additional self signed (in the front) recent passport size photographsare required to be attached duly clipped alongwith application form.i) Questionnaire as per Appendix E duly filled in and signed by the candidate.j) The relatives of CISF personnel should submit photo copy of certificate fromthe Unit Commander as Per Appendix G to the Notification.k) Departmental Followers may submit photo copy of Service certificate fromthe Unit Commander.
7 .The envelope containing above documents should be super scribed“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE/GD (Male or Female and/orConstable/FIRE which ever is applicable) and the name of STATE/DISTRICT ofapplicant.
8 Candidates failing in any of the prescribed tests will be eliminated at that stage.
9 The candidates applying for these posts will have to go through Physical EfficiencyTests. The candidate should come well prepared for the prescribed events andparticipate at their own risk. CISF or Government of India will not be liable for anydamages in the event of any injury or other casualty suffered by a candidateduring the tests.
10 During the process of recruitment candidates who are not satisfied with thedecision of the Recruitment Board may prefer appeal in writing the same day tothe Supervising DIG of the Recruitment center and the decision of the SupervisingDIG will be final. No representation after completion of recruitment process shallbe entertained
11 Selected candidates are required to undergo basic training in CISF RTCs for whichthey will be informed separately through offer of appointment letter. They will beon probation for a period of two years which can be extended. During the period ofprobation if found unfit for any reason the services are liable to be terminated.
12 CISF will not be responsible for postal delays.
13 An application will be summarily rejected at any stage of the recruitment processfor not confirming to the official Format/having incomplete information/wronginformation/incomplete requisite certificates/misrepresentation of facts/leftunsigned/ submitted without fee where due/without an attested or self attestedphotograph pasted at the appropriate place
14 Application must be submitted in the prescribed format published with thisadvertisement as appendix – ‘A’. The application form may be typed out in doublespace or written in hand neatly but format should be the same as published. Noapplication form will be supplied by this department.
15 Persons employed in Government/semi Government/Public Sector Undertakingsshould apply through proper channel or enclose a “No objection certificate” fromtheir employer. They have to give an Undertaking as per Annexure-H.
16 Any certificate other than in Hindi or English should be enclosed with translationin Hindi or English duly attested. Else will not be entertained.
17 Any sort of canvassing or recommendation will debar the candidate from selection.18 Applications, which are not filled up as per instruction or partly filled upapplications will not be entertained and no correspondence will be made.Applications may be rejected due to reasons such as :(a) Incomplete or illegible and not submitted on prescribed format.(b) With out postal order of Rs.50/-(Rupees fifty only) except SC/STcandidates.(c) With out self addressed envelope duly affixing postal stamps of Rs.22/-(d) Unsigned/Undated/without good quality photograph(e) Not enclosing copies of all requisite certificates duly attested by Gazettedofficers.(f) Under aged/Over aged candidates(g) Not possessing the requisite educational qualification at the time ofsubmitting application.(h) Application not filled in English or Hindi or not filled by candidate inhis/her own handwriting.(i) Without proper certificate in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates. 19 Candidates should come duly prepared for stay under their own arrangements atthe Recruitment Centre. No TA/DA will be admissible for the journey and stay.Mobile Phone and Calculator are strictly prohibited in the recruitment venue.
20 On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by CISF Act and Rules. Theyshall be entitled for the pension benefits as per the “New Restructured DefinedContributory Pension Scheme” applicable for the new entrants to the CentralGovernment services w.e.f. 01-01-2004.
21 In case a candidate is found unfit for service on any ground after his selection/appointment his service will be terminated without assigning any reason.
22 Any shortcoming, which could not be detected at the time of initial scrutiny of thedocuments and found/noticed at a later stage, shall render the candidatedisqualified for the post and he will not be allowed to appear in subsequent eventsof the recruitment and no correspondence will be entertained in the subject.
23 The Director General, CISF reserves the right to make changes or cancel orpostpone the recruitment without assigning any reason.
24 Mere qualifying all the prescribed tests in CISF recruitment of Constable does notconfer the right of selection of the candidates but they should have to stand inmerit keeping in view the available vacancies allotted to the State/UT
25 Success in various stages of recruitment confers no right to appointment unlessthe department is satisfied after medical examination and such enquiry as may beconsidered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respect for appointmentto the service/post.
26 Candidates have to appear in all the stages of Recruitment for which they havequalified. If a candidate is absent from any stage/event for which he has qualified,his candidature will be cancelled.
