Applications are invited from male Indian candidates belonging to Uttar Pradesh and
Delhi for the post of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force for the year 2009
on temporary basis likely to be permanent, in the pay band-l of Rs. 5200-20200/- plus
grade pay Rs. 2000/- plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Government
Employees from time to time. In addition, Ration allowances, Medical assistance, free
uniform, free accommodation, free leave pass etc. are admissible to BSF. The post has all
India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad.
They will be governed under BSF Act & Rules as well as CCS Rules.

3. ELIGIBILITY CONDITION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (GD)
Age:- Between 18 and 23 years as on 01st Aug' 2009. Upper age limit is relaxable
by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Education - Minimum Matriculation or 10th class Pass.

Note: Men belonging to hill areas should produce hill area certificate issued by concerned
State authority at the time of recruitment so that they can take the benefit in height.
MEDICAL STANDARDS FOR CONSTABLE (GDI
Eye sight:- The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without
correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. The candidates must not have knock-knee,
flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.
They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely
to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
4. ELIGIBILITY FOR RE-EMPLOYMENT OF EX-SERVICEMEN FOR CONSTABLE (GD).
Ex-Servicemen being trained soldiers, only written test and Medical fitness test
to ascertain medical category will be conducted. As per Govt's order, total relaxation
in prescribed physical standard and Education is admissible. Relaxation of upper age
limit to the extent of military service plus 3 years is applicable. However, break in Army
service and re-employment should not exceed 2 years. No PET is required to qualify
by Ex-servicemen.
5. Persons serving in Govt./Semi-Govt. department may send their applications
through proper channel alongwith "No Objection Certificate" as per format in
Annexure-ll.
6. Wards (Sons) of serving/retired BSF personnel may also apply if so desired
accordingly. Sons of serving BSF personnel may apply either from their Home State or
from State in which his father is posted/ deployed at the time of recruitment. This
concession is also applicable for serving Enrolled Followers of BSF.
7. TESTS FOR CONST (GD):
(a) The candidates qualified height test will be subjected 5 Km race to be completed
within 24 minutes, 11 feet long jump (three chances to be given) and 3 feet 6
inches high jump (three chances to be given).
i) Physical Efficiency Tests will now be only qualifying in nature and it will not
carry any marks.
ii) The candidates who qualify in the PETs will be required to appear in a written
test.
(b) Written Test will consist of OMR based objective type multiple choice questions
to answered using a pen. A question paper should be 100 marks and it will
comprise atJeast 100 questions. Questions papers will be set to assess the general
awareness / general knowledge, knowledge of elementary Mathematics,
analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test the
basic knowledge of the candidates in English / Hindi. The papers can be answered
either in Hindi or in English.
(i) The candidates will be allowed to take carbon copy of the answer sheet.
Answer key to the question paper to be posted on the website and displayed
on the notice board after the written examination is completed.
(c) Medical examination - The candidates will be medically examined to assess their
physical & medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibility conditions.
8. HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE (CONST (GD))
Application in the prescribed format at Annexure - II and Annexure - III either by type
written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size
photographs affixing on application duly attested by Gazetted Officer with seal be sent to
The Commandant 25 Bn BSF, Chhawla Camp, Najafgarh, New Delhi-71, on or before
30 days after publication of this Advertisement in leading newspapers through post
alongwith following documents:-
(a) Postal Order for Rs. 50/- payable in favour of Commandant 25 Bn BSF and
Payable at Post Office - Chhawla, New Delhi-71 or Demand Draft of SBI for
Rs. 50/- in favour of Commandant 25 Bn BSF and payable at Branch of SBI
Najafgarh A.D.B. Code No. 1419 only will be submitted by General and OBC
Category candidates as application fee. However, no postal order or Demand
Drafts is required to be sent by SC/ST candidates and Ex-servicemen. Postal
Order/ Bank Draft issued, other than Commandant 25 Bn BSF and payable
at Post Office Chhawla/SBI Najafgarh A.D.B. Code No. 1419 will not be
accepted and their application will be summarily rejected.
(b) Attested copies of certificate/testimonials as proof of educational qualification and
age/date of birth.
(c) Attested copy of caste/ category certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates given by
an Officer not below Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc. Caste Certificate issued by civil
authority should have in Central Government format under Central Government
Gazetted Notification.
(d) Attested copy of Domicile Certificate issued by an Officer not below Tehsildar or
SDO/SDM etc.
(e) One self-addressed envelop of size 23 x 10 cms affixed with postage stamp of
Rs. 5/- bearing name and full postal address with pin code.
(f) A form for issue of admit card will also be filled in and forwarded alongwith
passport size photograph duly attested by Gazetted Officer with seal as per
Annexure - III alongwith the application form.
(g) Envelope containing Application must be subscribed in bold letters
"APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (GD) IN BSF"
(h) Candidates are requested to fill up application form in Hindi and English language.
8. SELECTION PROCESS FOR CONSTABLE (GD)
Admit Card with roll number and general instructions for appearing in test will be
issued 15 days prior to the date of test to the eligible candidates. They will be called
to appear for the same to a place preferably within their home state for which no TA/DA
is admissible. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected and no
correspondence on this will be entertained.
NO APPLICATION AFTER THE LAST DATE AS MENTIONED ABOVE WILL BE
ACCEPTED.

The aim of Consortium is to maximize access to large number of high impact journals by the scientific communities. NBRC who is currently coordinating for the DeLCON would like to recruit suitable persons for the following positions:

General Conditions :-
The appointments for the post having Post Code no. DP01 & DP02 is under DBT sponsored DeLCON Consortium project presently in NBRC but transferable to other Centres as and when required. Accommodation and medical facility will be applicable as per respective DBT centres rules and post is co-terminus with the project
The appointment for the above posts will be made on contract for a period of 3 years with a probation period of 1 year, which may be extended. The performance will be monitored and reviewed before completion of 3 years and further continuation of appointment will depend on the performance during this period and on need basis. The posts will be co-terminus with the project.
Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
Competent authority in exceptional cases may relax requirements of age/ educational qualification/ experience.
The posts advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling, and number of vacancies may vary.
