The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India has launched its e-Library Consortium on 1st Jan 2009. The aim of Consortium is to maximize access to large number of high impact journals by the scientific communities. NBRC who is currently coordinating for the DeLCON would like to recruit suitable persons for the following positions:
Post Code: DP01 Project Assistant (DeLCON Consortia Project) Emoluments :- Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 15,000 pm (Consolidated) depending on suitabilityEssential Qualification/Experience:- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and post graduate in library science Desirable qualification:- Management knowledge of library, ability to correspondence, report preparation, website development, knowledge of application utilities like MS word, Excel, Power point and other applications etc.
Age Limit:- below 35 years as on last date of the application.
Post Code: DP02 Project Assistant (DeLCON Consortia Project) Emoluments :- Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 15,000 pm (Consolidated) depending on suitabilityEssential Qualification/Experience:- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and One year degree or diploma in computer applications / or post graduate in library scienceDesirable qualification:- Management knowledge of Website hosting & updation, ability to self correspondence, report preparation, knowledge of application utilities like Linux, SQL, ASP.NET, Java, DBMS, MS Access, C++, Apache, Visual Basic, Macromedia, Flash, Dreamweaver and other web based applications etc.
Age Limit:- below 35 years as on last date of the application.
Note: Candidates may forward their advance application as digital copy on email-id: library@nbrc.ac.in and further they may send a hardcopy of application along with the attested copy of testimonials and Demand Draft of Rs. 100.00 (in favour of Director, NBRC) to The DeLCON Administrator, NBRC. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
General Conditions :-
The appointments for the post having Post Code no. DP01 & DP02 is under DBT sponsored DeLCON Consortium project presently in NBRC but transferable to other Centres as and when required. Accommodation and medical facility will be applicable as per respective DBT centres rules and post is co-terminus with the project
The appointment for the above posts will be made on contract for a period of 3 years with a probation period of 1 year, which may be extended. The performance will be monitored and reviewed before completion of 3 years and further continuation of appointment will depend on the performance during this period and on need basis. The posts will be co-terminus with the project.
Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
Competent authority in exceptional cases may relax requirements of age/ educational qualification/ experience.
The posts advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling, and number of vacancies may vary.

Application should be complete in all respects and any incomplete application will be rejected summarily.
The job contract will be regulated as per the terms of the project and the prevailing rules and procedure followed at NBRC at the time being. Last date for receipt of completed application form is 15 days from the date of publication of advertisement.
