National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Indian Space Research Organisation is playing a key role in the Indian Remote Sensing Programme through Satellite Data Reception, Processing, Remote Sensing, Aerial Applications, Capacity Building and providing valuable services to the Nation for the socio-economic benefit of the country.
NRSC is looking for young, dynamic and dedicated candidates for the following posts:
1) Library Assistant-A (No. of posts: Two – 1 Un-reserved and 1 reserved for PWD) in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800/- with grade pay of Rs.4200/- PB-2 (Gross emoluments in the minimum of the pay band and grade pay at Dehradun as on date is Rs.20,140/-). Place of posting: Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun. Essential qualification & experience: Graduate + Ist Class Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science (OR) equivalent.
2) Junior Hindi Translator (No. of posts: One - Reserved for OBC) in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs.4200/- PB-2 (Gross emoluments in the minimum of the pay band and grade pay at Hyderabad as on date is Rs.22,470/-). Place of posting: NRSC, Hyderabad. Essential qualifications & experience: MA in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium of examination at Degree level (OR) MA in any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at Degree level (OR) MA in any subject with Hindi/English medium and English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium of examination at Degree level (OR) Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject, plus a recognized Diploma Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central/State Government Offices, including Govt. of India Undertakings.
3) Technician-A (Electronic Mechanic): (No. of Posts: One - Reserved for OBC) in the pay band of Rs.5200-20200 with grade pay of Rs.1900/- PB-1 (Gross emoluments in the minimum of the pay band and grade pay at Hyderabad as on date is Rs.10,972/-) /-). Place of posting: NRSC, Hyderabad. Essential qualification & experience: SSLC/SSC pass + NTC in Electronic Mechanic. Desirable: Experience in computer systems operation etc.
GENERAL CONDITIONS/INSTRUCTIONS:
1) The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.
2) The appointees are liable to be posted to any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research Organisation/Dept. of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.
3) Experience should have been obtained after possessing the essential educational qualifications.
4) Age limit: 35 years as on 31.08.2009 (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates. Ex-servicemen and Persons with Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders on the subject.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC have to submit attested copies of caste certificates issued by the Competent authority in the prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Government of India. In respect of OBC candidates, reservation will be available only to candidates, who do not fall in the Creamy Layer. OBC certificate must specifically include the clause regarding exclusion from Creamy Layer and should be updated/valid at the relevant point of time i.e. at the time of submission of application form for the above posts. OBC candidates must therefore, furnish valid and updated OBC certificate which should specifically include the clause regarding "Exclusion from Creamy Layer" in order to be considered against the posts reserved for OBC. In addition to submission of OBC certificate issued by the competent authority, the candidates seeking reservation as OBC should furnish a declaration in the following format:

5) For the post reserved for persons with disability (PWD), the percentage of disability should be moderate (between 40% to 75%). The applicant should clearly mention the nature of disability and also produce a certificate issued by Medical Authorities not less than the rank of Civil Surgeon in the prescribed format (Annexure-I)
6) Candidates working in Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Organisations should apply through proper channel.
7) Applications should be accompanied with attested true copies of qualifications/ experience/ proof of date of birth / caste etc. along with marks certificates of all examinations and a recent passport size photograph.
8) Applications received after due date / without enclosures / incomplete shall be rejected.
9) Mere fulfillment of the qualitative requirements of the post will not entail a candidate to be called for test/interview.
10) NRSC reserves the right not to fill up the post advertised, if it so decides.
11) No interim correspondence will be entertained.
